Montessori Community School is excited to announce the opening of a second location in Monterey, California, scheduled to open between November 2026 and January 2027.
Our original school in Scotts Valley has been family-owned and operated since 2003, and we remain deeply committed to the traditional AMI Montessori philosophy.
Our new Monterey location will feature:
- Two Nido classrooms
- Three Toddler classrooms
- Two Primary classrooms
The facility has been thoughtfully designed with child-centered environments in mind, featuring low windows, tall open-beamed ceilings, private kitchens and bathrooms in each classroom, and dedicated outdoor spaces.
Positions Available
We are currently seeking AMI-trained Lead Teachers for all levels who are passionate about creating nurturing environments centered around children and community.
Minimum Requirements
- AMI Montessori training or currently an AMI trainee
- A calm and nurturing presence
- A deep understanding of and love for the Montessori philosophy
- A community-oriented mindset
Salary & Schedule
Starting salary: $55,000–$65,000
Schedule: 11 months, with one month off during the summer
