IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR AN ELEMENTARY GUIDE

Position Overview:

South Coast Montessori, located in Santa Barbara, California, seeks a full-time AMI-trained
guide for our Elementary classroom for the 2024-25 school year.

About South Coast Montessori: 

Our beautiful 9 acre, park-like campus, is located in a quiet enclave of Goleta and features
meticulously appointed indoor and outdoor classroom environments, where children are
encouraged to move freely within the environment, following their own unique interests and
curiosity. We are dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional, social and intellectual
needs of each child and staff member alike. Our faculty are AMI trained and dedicated to
Montessori pedagogy. We currently offer classrooms for children aged 3 months to 12
years.

Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Attributes:
● AMI Diploma (or in progress)
● Knowledge, interest and a passion for the Montessori method as it applies to children
6-12 years old
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including digital communication skills
● Commitment to working on a team of teachers and administrators always striving to
model professionalism and collaboration in service of the school’s mission and children
● Experience with fostering and maintaining supportive and professional relationships
with enthusiastic and interested parents
