About the School

Autana Bilingual Montessori is seeking a Montessori Toddler Guide, preferably bilingual (Spanish/English), to join our growing school community.

This position offers the opportunity to nurture independence, curiosity, and confidence in young children within a warm and authentic Montessori environment where peace and respect are fundamental values.

Our Toddler Guides prepare thoughtfully designed environments where children build a strong foundation in independence, language, and motor development. We are looking for an educator who is deeply aligned with Montessori principles and passionate about supporting each child’s natural love of learning.

Position Overview

The Montessori Toddler Guide will lead a prepared environment for children ages 1 to 3, serving as a facilitator of learning through observation and as a bridge between the child and the prepared environment.

The guide will support the holistic development of each child while fostering independence, socialization, and respect for individual needs and developmental stages.

Responsibilities

• Lead an authentic Montessori Infant Community (ages 1–3) in a bilingual program
• Prepare and maintain an orderly, beautiful, and engaging environment that promotes independence and concentration
• Guide development in Practical Life, Language, Sensorial, Care of the Environment, Art, and Culture
• Observe student progress and communicate regularly with families
• Foster a peaceful classroom community based on respect and curiosity
• Support children’s social-emotional development, confidence, and independence
• Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support each child’s development
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a reflective teaching culture

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• AMI Infant Community certification, OR
• AMS or MACTE-accredited Montessori certification, OR
• Degree or experience in Early Childhood Education with a strong interest in Montessori
• Willingness to complete Montessori training (sponsorship opportunities may be available)
• Experience working with children ages 1–3
• Fluency in Spanish and English
• Strong understanding of child development and respectful classroom practices
• Warm, collaborative, and professional communication style
• Organized, observant, and committed to ongoing professional growth
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
• Ability to pass a background check

Position Details

Job Type: Full-time (8:00 am – 4:00 pm)
Salary: $49,000 – $53,000 USD per year
