Pacific Crest School in Seattle, WA, is currently seeking AMI trained Elementary guides to join our experienced Elementary team as we refine our Spanish, Outings and Elementary Aftercare programs, and prepare to add another classroom.
We’re seeking:
- An AMI trained, native Spanish speaker to bring Montessori curriculum, in Spanish, to children in all of our Elementary classrooms.
- An AMI trained guide to align our robust Outings & Aftercare programs with Montessori principles, promoting social development and independence outside of the classroom. This position has a likely trajectory of shifting into a lead classroom teaching position in the near future, as PCS plans to add another Elementary room soon.
Requirements:
- AMI Elementary diploma, or current enrollment in such a training program
- Strong aptitude for working in collaboration with fellow teachers.
- Commitment to engaging students according to AMI principles of development to create a joyful, engaging learning environment that ignites a love for nature & work, and nurtures wonder, gratitude, dignity, self-discipline and independence.
- Ability and passion to nurture every child’s potential in an increasingly racially and culturally diverse community.
PCS was founded in 1985 and is led by an AMI trained and experienced Head of School, leadership and teachers. With 200+ students, we have four Primary classes, two Lower Elementary, one Upper Elementary, a Middle School and a 19-acre farm (on nearby Vashon Island)!
