Valley Montessori Academy is excited to announce the opening of a brand-new second site in Bakersfield, California: Infant and Toddler Village, tentatively scheduled for Fall 2026.

Our original campus has been operating since 2015, offering Primary and Lower Elementary programs. We remain deeply committed to the traditional Montessori philosophy and authentic Montessori practice.

Our new location will include:

  • Two Nido (Infant) classrooms

  • Three Toddler classrooms

  • The Peace Rose Meditation Room — California’s first yoga and meditation space intentionally designed within an early childhood setting for both students and staff

The facility has been thoughtfully designed with child-centered environments in mind, featuring:

  • Low windows

  • Tall, open ceilings

  • Private kitchens and bathrooms in each classroom

  • Dedicated outdoor space

We are currently seeking Trained Montessori Teachers for Infant and Primary who are passionate about creating nurturing, community-centered environments.


Minimum Requirements

● Montessori training (AMI, AMS, or NAMC preferred)
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Child Care Center
● A calm, nurturing presence
● Deep understanding of and commitment to Montessori philosophy
● Community-oriented mindset
● Employment eligibility to work in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship not available at this time)


Compensation and Benefits

● Salary starting at $42,000–$45,000 annually (based on experience and credentials)
● 11-month contract (10-month academic year + 1-month summer program in June)
● 40 hours paid sick leave
● Professional development opportunities
● Relocation assistance starting at $1,000


Schedule

Full-Time
Monday–Friday
7:45 am – 4:00 pm
Academic Year (10 months) + Summer Program (1 month in June)
