About the School

Cavalletto is a nature-based preschool serving children ages 1 to 6 in Veracruz, Mexico.

Our educational environment features small groups, individualized attention, and a strong connection with nature. Our campus includes a garden and animals, such as chickens, rabbits, and horses, which are part of the children’s everyday experiences.

We are looking for a Montessori Infant & Toddler Guide (15–36 months) who is passionate about fostering independence, observation, and respectful guidance during early childhood.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain an organized, beautiful Montessori environment that meets children’s developmental needs.
• Provide presentations in Practical Life, Language, Movement, and Self-Care.
• Support children’s independence in feeding, dressing, toileting, and social interactions.
• Observe and document each child’s individual development.
• Incorporate outdoor activities, interactions with animals, and gardening into daily learning experiences.
• Maintain warm, respectful, and effective communication with families.

Requirements

• Montessori Infant & Toddler (0–3) training, preferably with an AMI Diploma, or demonstrable equivalent training with a strong understanding of AMI principles.
• Experience working with children ages 1–3 in a prepared environment.
• Genuine enthusiasm for outdoor education and working with animals.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team.
• Current residence in Veracruz or willingness to relocate.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AMI 0–3 Diploma.
• Experience mentoring or training other educators.
• First Aid certification.
• Experience working in small schools.
• English language skills.
