About the School

Colegio Educere Learning Academy is seeking a Montessori Primary Guide (ages 3–6) and a Montessori Elementary Guide (ages 6–12), preferably bilingual (Spanish/English), to join our educational community.

Position Overview

The guide will be responsible for observing children from a scientific perspective, preparing the environment, and connecting the child with the developmental materials, fostering independence, self-discipline, and self-directed learning without rewards or punishments.

Responsibilities

  • Scientific observation: continuously observe each child to identify interests, needs, and sensitive periods of development
  • Prepared environment: maintain an orderly, clean, beautiful, and functional classroom where all materials are complete and accessible
  • Presentation of materials: introduce materials individually or in small groups according to each child’s developmental level and pace
  • Fostering independence: guide children to think, act, and make decisions independently
  • Respect for concentration: protect children’s periods of concentration by minimizing unnecessary interruptions

We are looking for guides committed to the Montessori Method, passionate about education, and enthusiastic about working collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • AMI Montessori certification in Primary or Elementary I/II, OR
  • AMS or MACTE-accredited Montessori certification, OR
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with interest in Montessori education
  • Willingness to complete Montessori training (sponsorship opportunities may be available)
  • Experience working in a Montessori school environment
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of child development and respectful classroom practices
  • Warm, collaborative, and professional communication style
  • Strong organizational and observation skills, with commitment to professional growth
  • Broad knowledge of Cosmic Education, including Geography, History, Mathematics, Geometry, Anatomy, Language, Biology, and Zoology
